Southern Fried Rice - Kata Beach (Phuket)

A wide array of excellent food at breakfast time. Marvellous and absolutely perfect location with free parking and short walk to center, kata and Karon beaches, and Phuket: D

We had an amazing time and truly enjoyed our stay at this venue, which perfectly met our expectations, with a convenient bus stop just a 5-minute walk away.

Exceptionally comfortable beds, budget and practical rooms - we appreciated it.

The location here is wonderful, the room is quite clean, practical with an en-suite toilet, balcony, and the overall experience is awesome.

We had an amazing time at Southern Fried Rice! We stayed for a couple of nights and it felt like home. The food was delicious, and the cook, *An, even took us to the market to learn some recipes. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made us want to keep coming back. The price was unbeatable, with a great breakfast included. The location was perfect, close to beaches, shops, and bars. We loved the pool table too!

This place had a great location that was super convenient 🌴 It was near the beach, bars, and the Night Market, so you could easily walk to all the fun stuff.

The room was clean, with a good wifi connection and a great view. The staff and boss were enthusiastic and helpful, with services and answering all our questions. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The location was perfect for visiting both Kata and Karon beaches.

Nothing could have been better.

The owner of the hotel organized affordable airport transfer and last-minute tours. The hot water issue was promptly fixed and we were upgraded to a spacious and clean room. The hotel is located within a short walking distance to the beach. The owner is attentive and the prices are great for non-resorty stays.

The breakfast here was reasonably priced and included fruit and toast, and the hotel's location is convenient, not too far from Sc Plaza Kata.

I chose Southern Fried Rice Guesthouse because it was perfectly located near Kata Beach, which I wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the motorbike/car rental services provided by the property. It made exploring the area much easier. I enjoyed a satisfying meal at the restaurant serving guests at Southern Fried Rice.

com stated that there was a "Good breakfast" included, but it turned out to be a "Continental breakfast" which only included toast with jam, coffee or tea, and packaged juice. If you wanted fruit, there was an additional charge of 100THB.

Spacious room with wardrobe, desk, mirror, table and chairs. Good quality breakfast. Central location near Kata Walking Market with little noise. Close to beach and bus route. Pool table plays well.

The guesthouse is conveniently located next to the vibrant night market, just a short 2-minute walk away. Its proximity to the beach is also a major advantage, allowing guests to easily enjoy the beautiful Kata Beach scenery. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure excellent service, and the breakfast options are satisfying, offering a good start to the day.

There were some cleanliness issues reported, such as cockroaches and stained towels, which detracted from the overall experience.

Amazing location in the heart of everything, close to the beach. Superb AC. Friendly and attentive owner. Great hotel personnel. Bar downstairs with free continental breakfast or upgrade to an affordable American breakfast. Will definitely return! Thanks for everything!
